Some words to keep in mind..

  We want to give cosplayers clear instructions on cosplay and prop rules to keep everyone safe so that everyone who attends any event has a great time.

Please refer to the following:

* General

Organizers have the right to change the competition requirements, format, and prize distribution, depending on the circumstances.

All cosplayers must register to join the contest. Registration forms will be sent to those who wish to participate in the cosplay contest. The event date will be announced at a later time.

Only those who have filled and submitted their forms, as well met the requirements to participate before the specified date will be eligible to join the contest


*Eligibility

Contestants must:

Submit the forms that will be sent to them before the day of the event.

Cosplayers must maintain modesty and dress appropriately.

The event committee, or others associated with the contest, as well as employees, and those who haven’t registered on time, are not eligible to participate in the contest.

Organizers have the right to prevent individuals from participating, given that they have broken rules or guidelines of any previously held contests, or have behaved in an inappropriately manner to their fellow cosplayers. 


 * Costumes

The contest favors craftmanship more. Store-purchased accessories and components are allowed insofar as they could represent up to 20% of the finished look.

No costumes that are too revealing. If you are wearing a delicate costume, we advise you to take the necessary precautions to ensure you don’t expose yourself.

If you are wearing a large costume or one with poor visibility, you must ensure you have a chaperone  with you at all times as a guide.

Large, bulky, or fur-lined suits must ensure they are properly ventilated. 

Make sure there are no sharp edges on your costume.

Dangerous articles such as metallic weaponry (swords, knifes, etc.), firearms, and pyrotechnics, of any kind, that may cause damage to the venue, or harm to fellow cosplayers, and/or event staff, and attendees, are strictly not allowed as props for the cosplay contest.

Any articles made from materials such as cardboard, PVC, Styrofoam, etc. are allowed to be used as props for the contest. The event committee has the right to ban props that are deemed unsafe or inappropriate.

No open flame, liquid, powder, or flash paper is allowed.

No liquids, gels, or any slippery/messy substance allowed.

Costumes must be maneuverable in order to enter and exit the presentation area.

Cross-dressing is strictly forbidden.

No offensive cosplays( if you feel your cosplay may be offensive then please message us beforehand and we will deem it acceptable or not)

What's not allowed:

Firearms or realistic replica firearms

Functional bows or crossbows

Darts

Slingshots

Pyrotechnics/explosives

Sharp arrows

Wooden/metal bats

Laser pointers


What's allowed:

Non-realistic weapons

Plastic/wood/foam weapons

* Behavior 

Please be respectful as a cosplayer or visitor , of each other.

Please remember to always ask permission before anything, whether it is picture taking or touching the props

Any type of negative actions will not be tolerated, so please be mindful of how you act 

When taking photos please avoid the following places:

- Stay away from the tables that vendors are selling at to not hinder their businesses 

- Stay away from doors and visible walkways to not cause traffic

- If a cosplayer excuses themselves from picture taking, please be respectful for their wishes, they could have reasons on not wanting to take photos, and that is their right! again always ask before 

*Disqualification

Any participant who does not comply with one or more of the following articles or regulations will be automatically disqualified.

Any contestant found guilty of vandalism, theft, verbal or physical abuse, online bullying, inappropriate behavior, or any other violation, during the contest will be immediately disqualified and permanently banned from participating again.

Organizers have the right to retract prizes from contest winners if they violate any rules of the contest. In which case, the prizes will be given to other contestants that have met the required criteria.
